Gout is a metabolic disease: when there is too much uric acid in the blood, it forms crystals in the joints. An attack comes on suddenly, often at night — the joint, most often at the big toe, turns red, hot, swollen and very painful. “Gout” is intended to support you during attacks and in the periods between them.
